Graduation!

Congratulations Haley! You graduated from pre-school!

We really enjoyed Haley's Hawaiian themed graduation ceremony and can't wait to see her start kindergarten.

Horseback

Haley had a chance to ride a horse by herself last week. We were at a party at the home of the managing partner of my law firm. He has a ranch and let all of the kids ride. Haley had fun time and rode like a pro.

Haley's First Lost Tooth

This has now been a few weeks but Haley lost her first tooth. The Tooth Fairy almost forgot to come to our house - only remembering at 2:00 a.m. that she had forgot to stop by.

Spring Training

We had the pleasure of going to a spring training game today (Rangers v. Padres). The Rangers have a training facility in Suprise, Arizona, which is on the far west side of town. The weather was perfect and we had a great time.

Spring in Phoenix

It is Spring in Phoenix. It has been beautiful here the last week or two with temperatures in the high 70's to the low 80's. The heat will be here before we know it, but we are loving it right now. These are photos of some of the flowers that are starting to bloom in our backyard.

Day at the Museum

Haley and I went to the Phoenix Art Museum last week. We had a great time. We both liked this piece.

Quicken

Quicken is ruining our life. At least that is what Amy says.

We have never done a good job of keeping track of our finances. So this year I made a resolution to do better. Enter Quicken. I devised a budget (which is still in dispute) and am tracking our spending in Quicken. I have learned a lot, not the least of which is how much we spend on groceries. Amy thinks my grocery budget is laughable. I wonder how much other families spend . . .

Bowling

We recently purchased the Wii. We have all enjoyed it. Haley has been a surprisingly quick study, especially at bowling. I cannot even begin to approach her high score of 216. She likes to box too.

We thought it would be fun to take her out for the real thing for family home evening last Monday. She loved it.
